“Barrel Into Spring”
2008 Barrel Tasting
April 26th and 27th

May 17th and 18th

Members of the Grand Valley Winery Association welcome you to our wineries for an exciting spring weekend of wine and food tasting. This is your chance to discover wines in the making and see how oak aging adds complexity to wine. Your barrel tasting "passport" will be your ticket to go beyond the tasting room and experience first hand the magic of winemaking.

The barrel tasting weekend is a self-guided tour of each of the eight partcipating wineries: Canyon Wind Cellars, Carlson Vineyards, DeBeque Canyon Winery, Garfield Estates Winery, Grande River Vineyards, Graystone Vineyards, Plum Creek Cellars and Two Rivers Winery.

With your confirmation letter you will be assigned a winery at which to pick up your tasting "passport" and souvenir wine glass and begin your tour. In addition, each winery will pair delicious foods with their wines to enhance your enjoyment.

Barrel tasting times are 10 a.m. on Saturday and Sunday for both events on the 26th and the 27th of April 2008 and the 17th and 18th of May 2008. The cost per person is $60 for each ticket purchased before March 31, 2007 for the first event and before April 20, 2008 for the second event. Tickets purchased after the deadline will be $65 price per person. Wineries will also be offering a 15% discount on their wines for event participants. This year the Association will also be holding a winemakers dinner at Two Rivers Winery on Friday the 25th of April. The price per person is $87.50. Proceeds after expenses will go to Hospice & Palliative Care of Western Colorado.

Space is extremely limited for this special event. You must be 21 to participate.
