The Grand Valley stretches from Fruita to Palisade, just west of Grand Junction, Colorado, averaging 4,700 feet above sea level. At this altitude, our grapes receive very intense sun, almost 300 days a year. Combine this with our warm, dry days and cool nights, and you have a microclimate that is ideal for producing wine grapes with intense flavors and wonderful balance. During the winter months when our vines are dormant, the Grand Valley enjoys moderate temperatures, much warmer than the Front Range of Colorado. Our eight member wineries have joined together to share their unique histories, traditions and innovations with wine lovers who appreciate discovering great wine.
